PrivacySwap AMA: “The PrivacySwap project is not something we will allow to fail”
What do you do when the market screams red? For PrivacySwap, we hodled more and huddled closer. The overwhelming support from the PrivacySwap community is palpable. Despite the chaos and craziness, there was a consensus that we are all in this for the long haul.
Together.
So on June 22 over at Telegram, the core team held its first ever Ask-Me-Anything (AMA) session with the PrivacySwap community we affectionatelycall the PRVArmy. It was an opportunity to both answer tough questions from the attendees, as well as to assure everyone that the team will see through the continuous progress of the project.
The key topics discussed were:
- Referral system
- PrivacyCards
- PRV swag (like t-shirts and hoodies, for instance!)
- Future community wants
- Token burns
- Marketing and other concerns
The referral system: incentivizing the sharing of the joy and earning opportunity
With 28th June as its projected launch, the referral system got everybody excited! In a nutshell, once the system is in place, it will allow PRV holders to earn at least 1% for the harvest of each successful referral. Terms and conditions apply.
PrivacyCards: PrivacySwap’s answer to the debit card system
While card-based coins are not unique in the DeFi space, the PrivacyCard ups the ante by marrying all platforms (that a user will need to interact with) into one, as a privacy-centric solution for users to spend and use their crypto. In a nutshell, you “buy” your card when you stake a certain amount of PRV for a lock-in period of 6 months. You can then load your card with a wide range of tokens, which, apart from PRV, can also work for USDT/BUSD/BNB/ETH/BTC.

PRV Swag: wearing the PRV identity loud and proud
The swag (as shown below) is PrivacySwap’s response to the community’s request for PRV wearables. The design is ready and will be printed in sufficient volume for everyone to get their hands on. Meanwhile: Team white or team black?
Future community wants: because the end-game of PrivacySwap is a community-driven DeFi platform
The core team is opening the floor for the passionate PRVArmy to suggest what other features they would like to see on the platform. So far, there’s the Yield Farms, Yield Optimizer, and the upcoming PrivacyCards.

Token burns: next up is in December 2021
DeFi projects occasionally hold token burns to lessen the supply of their respective tokens in circulation, ensuring that the value of those tokens increases. PrivacySwap is doing the same for its PRV tokens.
Marketing and other concerns
The team capped off the AMA session with updates on the marketing efforts being rolled out for PrivacySwap. With the traditional media and efforts already running, we are also exploring new ways to extend awareness of PRV to as many groups and people as possible.
It was also heartwarming to hear that the community is willing to join in the marketing efforts within their personal capacity. If that’s now awesome, we don’t know what is!
Final thoughts
