If you want to enlist in the PRVArmy, you’ll need to have a crypto wallet and be able to do 10 push ups.
Thus, as a second installment to Joining the PRVArmy Series, we are formally introducing you to the cryptoverse by starting off with a topic on crypto wallet: its concept and how to get one.
What is a crypto wallet?
A cryptocurrency wallet functions like a typical wallet- you put in a certain amount, store it for a certain period, and withdraw it as needed. The main difference is that instead of paper currency, crypto wallet holds proof of your digital cash.
In order to buy or trade PRV or other cryptocurrencies, you need to have a wallet address wherein the digital currency can be transferred under your control.
Can you use any crypto wallet?
Based on a recent study of Cryptowisser in February 2021, there are about 80 cryptocurrency wallets available. Choosing the right crypto wallet is not as easy as heading to google and typing “best crypto wallet 2021”. That is why we decided to launch this series and guide you through your PRV journey!
There are several factors to consider when choosing a wallet. One of the crucial ones is if it supports the tokens you wish to hold or trade.
To keep things short, MetaMask and Trust Wallet are two of the more popular wallets in use today with regards to DeFi. Good news, both are compatible with PrivacySwap and we recommend MetaMask, but feel free to choose.
Why do we recommend MetaMask?
Because it is simple to use.
To elaborate, MetaMask is a crypto wallet in the form of a browser extension which connects to the Ethereum blockchain. This means that MetaMask is readily available so long as it is saved on your browser profile! This eliminates the need to download the entire Ethereum blockchain in your device.
How to Set Up a MetaMask Wallet?
Start using your crypto wallet by installing the correct browser plugin. It should open a dialog box that prompts the installation.
